Chapter 3: Get out the vote

In the third case study, you will use data on attitudes and beliefs in the United States to predict voter turnout. You will apply your skills in dealing with imbalanced data and explore more resampling options.

Predicting voter turnout from survey data

Choose an appropriate model

Explore the VOTER data

Visualization for exploratory data analysis

Imbalanced data

Training and testing data

VOTE 2016

Preprocess with a recipe

Create a modeling workflow

Understanding cross-validation

Create cross-validation folds

Evaluate model performance

Resampling two models
